Let me start off by wishing everyone a Happy New Year for 2020. I have never been politically correct, and I am not about to start now. But let me say if you are offended by this salutation, good luck getting an apology. Yes, that is how I am starting this year off, politically opposing political correctness and those who wish to deprive me of my right to be politically incorrect.
At the Golden Globes this year, actors once again think it is ok to push their political agendas onto the rest of society. Politicians are causing problems not because of their political views, but because of their actions and looks. It is just a mess out there.
Then there is the new problem between Iran and the United States. The US government kills top Iranian general Qasem Soleimani. Iran’s response is to accidentally shoot down Ukrainian International Airlines Flight 752 outside Tehran, killing all 176 on board. At least 57 Canadians die in the crash. Iran refuses to return the black boxes, perhaps because it would prove the plane was shot down instead of the mechanical excuse it was trying to use.
It seems 2020 is going to be a very angry year.
